«No risk» will be taken for Brahimi

«No risk» will be taken for Brahimi

With Stade Rennes cruelly lacking attacking inspiration this Saturday against Auxerre, the absence of a player able to unbalance the defences as Yacine Brahimi can do was clear.

Unfortunately, since his thigh injury mid-February, the young Rennes attacking midfielder hasn’t been able to recover completely, with already two relapses of his muscle tear.
Talking to L’Équipe’s website, Frédéric Antonetti admitted the staff would be very cautious regarding the player and his recovery delays. “We will see how it evolves, but we will take no risk”, the Rennes manager hinted.

While a quick return had been deemed a possibility by the media (read previously), I is in fact probably a long absence the young player will have to prepare for. He could remain unavailable until May, missing the next four game weeks in the process. The possibility to see him only return for the last three games (from mid-May) is even a possibility according to the Rennes manager.
