Transfer, striker: Dréossi is prospecting abroad

After failing to sign Rivière and Suárez, Stade Rennes are still searching their final recruit of the summer at the centre-forward position.

According to Pierre Dréossi, questioned by Ouest-France this Sunday, the Breton club is chasing a centre-forward playing in a foreign championship, “a central striker able to score around fifteen goals in a season”. Without giving a name, the general manager explains however that the transfer is “far from completed”, but hopes to manage it “before the end of next week”.

Dréossi also denied being in touch with Mevlüt Erding “or his representatives” for a transfer “at this moment”. As we revealed yesterday (read previously) Stade Rennais has been contacted by the Turkish striker’s agent however. The two parties haven’t gone further in the talks at this moment.
