Tettey, Jebbour and Julienne in the squad
Ligue 1, Lens - Stade rennais, Sunday, 17:00 CET Three changes between the squad that beat Toulouse and the group travelling to Lens this Sunday. With Mandjeck suspended, Alexander Tettey returns in the squad, while youngsters Yassine Jebbour and Franck Julienne will take profit of John Boye’s and Victor Hugo Montaño’s absence to discover Stade Bollaert.
Frédéric Antonetti announced the group of eighteen players to travel to Pas-de-Calais and take on Racing Club de Lens. The Corsican manager was forced to proceed to three changes compared to the squad that won at Nancy, and then in Rennes against Toulouse.
In defence, John Boye is banned after being sent off with the Reserve last week-end. The FFF’s discipline commission sentenced him to a two-match ban. This will allow young right-back Yassine Jebbour (photo) to come back in the squad. Another blow for Bira Dembélé, once more left out of the group.
_At midfield, Georges Mandjeck’s one match ban allows Alexander Tettey to reappear in the day light. The Norwegian hasn’t played a minute in Ligue 1 this season, with only one call in the squad against Arles-Avignon. M’Vila, who received a knock on his ankle on Friday morning, is fit for this game.
Finally, Victor Hugo Montaño’s injury triggers a return in the squad for young striker Frank Julienne, already called –without playing – for the Coupe de la Ligue game in Guingamp.
In Lens, Jean-Guy Wallemme will have to do without Samba Sow, still convalescent, and Marco Ramos, suspended. The “Sang et Or” manager also decided not to pick Nenad Kovačević, Geoffrey Doumeng, and new recruit Franck Queudrue. Doubtful over the last few days, Sébastien Roudet (ankle) and Henri Bédimo (fever) will be holding their place. Also in the squad are Raphaël Varane and Geoffrey Kondogbia, both 17.
