Rennes on a points strike

Ligue 1, Stade rennais 0 - 1 Montpellier. Transparent all game long, Stade Rennes were defeated on their field by Montpellier (0-1). Beyond the raw result, the way it was achieved is worrying before travelling to Olympique Marseille and hosting Olympique Lyon over the next two game weeks.

Mandjeck back in the squad, not Fanni

Ligue 1, Stade rennais - Montpellier, Saturday at 7pm. Rod Fanni will not be back this Saturday for the 10th round of Ligue 1. Rennes’ defender who restarted training with the rest of the team this week is apparently not ready to participate in this week-end game. Georges Mandjeck, after his suspension, is back in the squad.

Defensively solid, but could do better up front.

Ligue 1, Lens 0 - 0 Stade Rennais. Bringing back a point from Bollaert stadium, combined with the defeat of Saint-Etienne away against Nice, allowed Rennes to remain at the top of the Ligue 1. Despite being manhandled by Lens' players on Sunday night, Rennes' players are still unbeaten and confirmed their defensive solidity. Nonetheless, they will have to improve their attacking plan for the coming games.

Tettey, Jebbour and Julienne in the squad
